Record visitor attendance. Up 10% to over 7,200 buyers in 2006
Show recognised as Asias most comprehensive event of its kind
The seventh Cinte Techtextil China, staged at INTEX in Shanghai from 19-21 September, was characterised by a strong flow of visitor traffic, an array of new products, and an enthusiastic business mood - felt by both exhibitors and visitors alike. With 7,249 buyers from 59 countries & regions, the show enjoyed a 10% rise in attendance from 2004. Exhibitor numbers were up too, with 320 companies participating, covering 12,000 sqm of exhibition space; making the fair over 20% bigger than the last event.
The high number of trade visitors confirms the shows position as Asias premier marketing platform for technical textiles, nonwovens and related technology. Business was particularly brisk the first two days of the show with 3,325 visitors on the first day and 2,765 on the second. Visitors were mainly from Mainland China (6,044) with the majority from Shanghai (2,908), Jiangsu (1,087) and Zhejiang (875); three of Chinas most important technical textile and nonwovens markets. A total of 1,205 overseas buyers came to the show from 59 countries and regions. The top six countries and regions represented were Korea, Taiwan, Japan, USA, Hong Kong and Germany. More than 34% of the trade visitors were from import and export corporations, close to 27% were end users, 15% were wholesalers/distributors and 9% were from the academic/research and development field. Many participants to the show commented on Cinte Techtextil Chinas reputation for being the most comprehensive event of its kind in Asia.
The show organisers were delighted with the results at the fair. "There is a very high energy level here, and a lot of enthusiasm for this event," said Michael Jänecke, Director of Techtextil Fairs worldwide for Messe Frankfurt. "The show is gaining momentum. We look forward to the future of Cinte Techtextil China with great optimism!"
Cinte Techtextil China - International Trade Fair for Technical Textiles and Nonwovens is organised by Messe Frankfurt, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT and the China Nonwovens & Industrial Textiles Association (CNITA).
