In February 2004 Polyamide-HP has opened its Representative Office in Shanghai to be close to the growing market for passive automotive occupant restraint systems in China. Based on our experience and expertise as a leading manufacturer for PA 6.6 yarns – Enka® Nylon – for airbag applications in Europe and North America we will use our Shanghai office to support our direct and indirect customers to establish local supply chains in China.Of course, all other high-performance yarn types of our wide polyamide product range for various technical applications are represented by this office.  Starting autumn 2007 – based on JVs with China SHENMA – Enka® Nylon airbag yarns produced in Pingdingshan (Henan Province) by ShenMa-PHP (Pingdingshan) Air Bag Yarn Manufacturing will be exclusively marketed in the Asian region by PHP-Shenma Air Bag Yarn Marketing (Shanghai). |
